THINGS WE'RE LOVING LATELY...
Hey hey lovely people! Hope everyone here in Canada has enjoyed a be-eautiful long weekend, we certainly took advantage of it and have spent almost all of it outside! Here are some more causes for joy, laughter, and all around good times that we've been loving lately and wanted to share....- Sun, sun, SUN this week! Don't forget your sunscreen & lots of water! Embrace it!- I've never wanted to go to India more than I do right now! Thanks in part to this gloriously shot, incredibly funny, beautiful & meaningful film. Seriously guys, if you see one movie this year, make it The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. I took my mum & family to see it for mother's day, and I think I might go again with Dave, it's that good. Here's the trailer:- If we don't get to India, we'll at least get this close - we are absolutely signing up for THE COLOR RUN the minute registration opens!- We met this lovely photographer duo in Cabo a few months ago, and Jayden's just put out some tracks on iTunes. Go have a listen HERE, his stuff has an awesome bluesy/indie/folk vibe going on, I love it.- A care package from an Aussie friend with the latest issue of frankie magazine, my fave. If you love thoughtful/quirky/funny writing, lovely design and photography, it might become your fave too. Especially loved the article about creative husband & wife teams (right up our alley, right?!) Thanks lovely BEATA for sending it over :)- You might know Amy Seeley through her gorgeous music/songwriting, but turns out she's a woman of many talents, including picture taking. If you've got Instagram, you should give her a follow! @amyseeley- It's rhubarb season, and I've been stocking up! Does anyone love rhubarb as much as me? Plus it's fun to say. Rhubarb.- I printed THIS out & taped it to our office wall.- And continuing with the India theme, the Indian dosas appetizer on the menu at FRESH TORONTO is pretty much my favourite thing ever right now!- I often describe myself as an introvert, and I think most people associate that word with an unfriendly, shy and awkward person who likes to be alone all the time! I love Susan Cain's take on introversion from her TED TALK, (must see if you are or have any significant introverts in your life) and I'm loving her recent BOOK on the topic too.- Dave and I have recently found a lot of joy through getting our own personal images actually PRINTED, like on real paper!! (gasp!) It is seriously a treat to hold your photos printed in your hands. Now we just need to find some non-cheesy options for storing them (let us know if you have any ideas!). Also, for those of you on instagram, what are some neat ways to have those printed? Here's to a happy week! xo, jenn
