e & t’s cottage wedding in muskoka

e & t drove up from the city to their family cottage in muskoka to celebrate their wedding with a close group of family and friends… and it was the best.

there’s something so special about a momentous day like a wedding happening in such familiar surroundings. it brings another level of homeyness and comfortability, and in a way e & t’s day felt like a hangout on a long summer afternoon (albeit a fancy hangout) — views over the lake, home-cooked food (dumplings and skewers lovingly made by t’s parents), cold drinks, and their lovely pooch milling between everyone’s legs as the sun made its slow descent. then as it got dark, there were twinkle lights, dancing on the deck, and a fireworks show. perfection, if you ask me.
