evie & logan's mexican-inspired floral wedding at glebe community center in ottawa

this day... was hands down one of the most memorable and fun weddings we've documented.

evie & logan's ceremony was planned to be in a park just around the corner from where evie grew up. the plan was that she'd just walk over with her parents and girlfriends when everything was ready to begin. you'll see a few photos before the ceremony with people's faces turned up towards the sky... that would be the thunder cracking directly overhead as a massive storm swept in the literal moment we were about to leave the house, with so much rain falling that the park where evie and logan were set to be married actually flooded... people were huddled under umbrellas under the tent as the rain was sweeping in sideways! guests ran to their cars, or ran to evie's parents house, and there were a lot of laughs as everyone just rolled with it, transferred everything indoors to glebe community center, and proceeded a couple hours later with a gorgeous and heartfelt ceremony, presided by logan's dad.not much went to plan that day, but it didn't matter, because the things that mattered were all still present - a fun and sincere group of friends (please note the skit of evie & logan's relationship, acted out by logan's friends at the reception), steadfast and supportive parents, and, of course, each other. that's really all you need, i know it's said a lot but this wedding is great proof that everything else is just extra.
