a day at the cottage / a documentary family shoot in muskoka
we boated in to the cottage where her family has been coming for years. as the roar of the engine of the motor boat died down, we were greeted by excited tail wages and sarah & quito's little one perched on mama's hip.it was the perfect end-of-summer scene: no cell reception, no road access, just a couple of docks and a point with a traditional muskoka cottage perched on the edge of the lake. a lot of pines, cedar strip canoes, and quiet. i think for so many of us who make our living in the city, this is the idyll nestled in a quiet place in our hearts, the place we long for every once in a while. it did not disappoint.we loved being able to document this place that means so much to them, & a slice of what life looks like for these two right now -- one cute toddler & one cute pup included. thanks so much guys for having us out to your home away from home. click here for more documentary-style, day in the life family sessions.
