julia + alex married in greece / a nasioutzik museum attica wedding

just married athens weddingjulia and alex were married in the shade of the trees with the sun glowing orange behind them through the branches. as people came in down the cobbled road, you could hear greek words mixed in with english, the constant hum of cicadas, the gusts that blew about branches heavy with bunches of white and pink flowers, and the universal language of laughter, of seeing someone again after too long apart. we ate and danced under a black sky filled with stars and the full moon that tracked its way above us.it's not every day that you get to watch one of your oldest friends marry her love... and it's certainly not every day that you get to do this in greece. every wedding no matter where it is is special to dave and i, but i have a picture of julia and me at my sixth birthday party. we are both rocking some seriously amazing haircuts and are loving life like only six year olds at a birthday party can. words can't say how humbled we were to be asked to be there to document the story of their wedding in alex's homeland of greece.here's the day in moving pictures :and in stills :june 2013 // near athens, greece
