THE DAY WHEN ASHLEY & JEFF WERE MARRIED AND THERE WERE SMILES ALL AROUND | a belcroft barn wedding
We were greeted with such huge smiles, hugs, excitement and emotion on the morning of Ashley and Jeff's wedding... they were some of the most excited people I've ever seen and that energy was just buzzing around the entire day... which I hope you'll see in the following images :) You'll also see two empty seats with roses on them during the ceremony, and Ashley's brother who walked her down the aisle... there was a lot of emotion during the day, emotion that wasn't hidden but experienced. There was also some rain, which genuinely didn't even matter or dampen anything, Jeff who was fighting a pretty terrible cold at the time, which was clearly overshadowed by everything that day too... it was a day embraced fully and wholly, every single part of it, and it was a true honour to be the ones documenting the real, true memories for the days in the future when it all becomes a happy blur :)I just wanted to add that I think so often in life we can just go through the motions or not really take in the moments anymore, we can want everything to be a certain way and we can let irrational fears take over and take us away from really embracing experiences... so to see that so intentionally done was inspiring to watch and witness. I asked Ashley on the day what she was looking forward to the most out of everything (because clearly she was looking forward to enjoying and experiencing every single moment) and she said after seeing Jeff, she was most looking forward to the moment when she could look out into the crowd during the ceremony... to the 87 people who support them, prop them up, help them stand and walk through life when it's happy and when it's tough... that's what a wedding is about to me. Thank you so much, Ashley and Jeff... what an emotion-filled, excitement-filled, happy, joyful, completely full-of-life day it was :) xo, jennTheir wedding took place at the most lovely Belcroft Estates and Tree Farm in Gilford, Ontario | October 2012
