THIS IS MEGGIE & ANDREW AT THE COTTAGE

They showed us into a hallway off the main room, to one wall in particular that started on one end with photographs stuck to the wall. The photographs made their way through time from faded old black & white film from when Andrew’s grandfather first bought the land, leading right up to present day. There were photographs of matching sweaters, photographs of sitting at the table outside, photographs of huge family thanksgiving meals… Meggie and Andrew said that Andrew’s family cottage, sitting at the edge of a quiet lake a few hours north of Toronto, the cottage that was built up over the years as it passed through the generations, that this was the place they loved most. Can't tell you how much it meant to Dave and I (so so much!) to spend time with them there, to contribute in a small way to a family’s history of photographs on the wall.... I apologize in advance for the slight overdose of images we shot that evening by the lake (but not really :) ) xo, jennMuskoka Canada, August 2012
