WHEN CED & CHRISTINE RENEWED THEIR VOWS ON CANNON BEACH | an oregon vow renewal
“Monday morning Cedric shocked me with a renewal of our vows on Cannon Beach, Oregon. He picked out amazing white dresses for me and the girls (bought 8 for me… just in case). He found a lovely minister and the most amazing couple to take photographs. We walked out the door of the place he booked onto the beach and stood next to each other in the sand with Anais and Sylvie in our arms. The vows he wrote spoke to who we’ve become and how we aspire to continue to grow together. I don’t know how to thank him so I figured I will scream out loud (on Facebook) how grateful I am to live my life at his side. Thank you for giving me today, Ced. I love life even more than I knew possible since I’ve lived it with you.”It’s as though I feel that my words might ruin it, so I hesitate to add much here. But let me say that photographing these two and their girls was just one of those moments for Dave and I.... one year ago, we ourselves renewed our vows for our five year anniversary on the very same Cannon Beach in Oregon and our dear friend came out to photograph it for us -- it was one of the most special things we’d done. Fast forward a few months and I get an email from Cedric saying he’s found my site through the power of the internet because he too is planning the exact same surprise of his own and couldn’t believe he’d found someone who’d done the same thing. And as it turned out Dave and I were already planning on being in Oregon for a conference in July and the rest is, of course, history. Although we only spent a couple of hours together, I know from that short time that Cedric & Christine are the best of parents to their girls and the best of friends to each other, that was so clear. From the bottoms of our hearts you guys, thank you. And ps -- happy actual anniversary day! xo, jennCannon Beach Oregon, July 2012
