alisha & david’s toronto wedding at archeo restaurant in the distillery district
david and alisha’s wedding was fun and joy-filled from start to finish, from drinks in the backyard with friends to start the day to ending the night under the twinkle lights in the distillery district. nothing felt forced, and these two truly exuded nothing but happiness and appreciation all day long.
archeo restaurant was stunning, as is usual — it consistently remains one of our favourite locations in the whole city to photograph a wedding, after more than a decade. a private outdoor area nestled between the old buildings that everyone comes to the distillery district for, what more could you ask for. we have photographed weddings of friends of alisha and david and it’s always fun to see familiar faces coming together again for a party and this was no exception. hoping there are still a few more to come in the future.

frances & scott's garden wedding at f'amelia restaurant in toronto
we buzzed up to frances & scott’s apartment and found frances leaning out the door as we got off the elevator. we settled into their cozy space as they finished getting ready, clinked some champagne glasses and wandered around their neighbourhood in the annex, discovering a mutual love for britain’s favourite gardener monty don and sharing wild dreams of what we would all one day grow in our backyards. as we walked, frances’ amazing dress and scott’s tie matched perfectly with the trees and gardens that were blooming all around us.
we arrived to f’amelia restaurant in cabbagetown and frances & scott greeted everyone as they arrived, waving through open windows as ubers slowed and dropped them off by the restaurant. then they spoke their vows as everyone watched and smiled.
as the first drops of rain gently fell, everyone found their tables, dotted with flowers that were a mix of every variety and colour imaginable. courses of beautiful food flowed out of the kitchen as frances and scott made the rounds, catching up with old friends. beautiful speeches followed as the sun set and everyone gathered on the checkered dance floor as frances & scott danced to talking heads, a wonderful way to cap off a pretty fantastic day.
